EXPERTISE AND INNOVATION
| At the start of the 1980s, greatly encouraged by Professors Ribéreau-Gayon, Dubourdieu and Boidron, the partnership between SEGUIN MOREAU and the Enology Faculty of Bordeaux opened up what were still unexplored avenues for understanding wine/wood interactions. Cooperage and enological practices were enriched by the discoveries, leading to advances in correct barrel usage throughout the world. Drawing on an R&D team made up of three PhDs in enology, SEGUIN MOREAU is currently coordinating several research programs: internally, in the cooperage laboratory, and externally, with several university centers, including the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences (Bordeaux), and the University Institute of Vine and Wine (Dijon). |
SEGUIN MOREAU is also working in close collaboration with a panel of partner customers throughout the world on applied research programs in wineries.
